Crew Manning & Placement
Costa del Alba has operated crew placement since 2002. Our active pool covers all ranks — ordinary seamen to Masters and Chief Engineers — across bulk, tanker, container, offshore, and specialist vessel types. Every candidate we present has had their certificates physically verified, flag state endorsements confirmed, and sea service documentation checked before a single CV reaches your desk. No surprises at Port State Control.

Service
Maritime Training
Our IMO-accredited training centre in Southampton opened in 2007. Every course is delivered by active or recently retired maritime professionals — not career instructors. We run 12 accredited courses from mandatory STCW Basic Safety through to Chief Mate and Chief Engineer Certificates of Competency, using modern bridge and engine room simulation equipment. Candidates who complete officer programmes through us get direct access to our manning team for placement.

Career Pathways
Most of the Masters and Chief Engineers in our network started as ordinary seamen or cadets. The Career Pathways programme pairs eligible seafarers with a dedicated advisor who builds a multi-year plan — the right courses at the right experience levels, sea service between qualifications, and direct placement into promotion-track contracts. We track your career, not just your next contract.
