Training That Comes From Experience
Our training centre opened in 2007 and has delivered certified maritime education to over 4,000 seafarers. Every course is taught by active or recently retired maritime professionals — instructors who have held the certificates they are teaching you to earn.
We offer 12 accredited courses from mandatory STCW Basic Safety through to Chief Mate and Chief Engineer Certificates of Competency. All courses use modern simulation equipment and follow IMO model course syllabi.

Basic Safety Training
The mandatory foundation for all seafarers. Covers personal survival techniques, fire prevention, elementary first aid, and personal safety and social responsibilities. Required before joining any vessel.
Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats
Hands-on training in the operation of survival craft and rescue boats. Covers launching procedures, operating and handling a survival craft after abandoning ship, and use of locating devices.
Advanced Fire Fighting
Advanced techniques for controlling and fighting fires aboard vessels. Covers fire detection systems, fixed fire-fighting systems, breathing apparatus, and coordinating shipboard fire-fighting operations.
Medical First Aid
Equips seafarers to provide immediate and effective first aid in the event of accidents or illness at sea before higher medical assistance becomes available. Includes CPR, wound management, and trauma care.
GMDSS General Operator Certificate
Comprehensive training in the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System. Covers EPIRB, SART, DSC controllers, NAVTEX, Inmarsat systems, and VHF/MF/HF radiotelephony. Mandatory for watch-keeping officers.
Officer of the Watch (Deck)
Full pathway to your first officer certification. Combines bridge watchkeeping theory, celestial and electronic navigation, collision regulations (COLREGS), cargo operations, and stability. Includes simulator assessments.
Officer of the Watch (Engineering)
Pathway to engineering officer certification. Covers marine diesel engines, auxiliary machinery, electrical systems, automation, and engineering watchkeeping duties. Includes engine room simulator assessments.
Chief Mate Certificate of Competency
Advanced certification for experienced officers ready to take command responsibility. Covers advanced stability and trim, cargo management, passage planning, crew management, and emergency procedures.
Chief Engineer (Motor) Certificate
Prepares senior engineers for chief engineer command authority. Covers advanced engineering management, engine performance monitoring, fuel efficiency, planned maintenance systems, and crisis management.
Able Seaman (Rating)
Qualifying programme for experienced ordinary seamen seeking the Able Seaman certification. Covers advanced deck seamanship, mooring, rigging, cargo handling, and bridge watchkeeping duties.
Motorman / Oiler (Rating)
Engineering ratings course covering auxiliary machinery operation, maintenance routines, bilge and ballast systems, fuel oil management, and engine room watchkeeping support duties.
Dynamic Positioning (DP) Operator
Industry-recognised Nautical Institute DP training covering DP fundamentals, systems configuration, position reference systems, consequence analysis, and supervised offshore DP sea time requirements.
